TEAGAN PLEITEZ SIGNED BY CHARLOTTE FC

This past week, Teagan Pleitez, a 2012 (13UB), player that plays two years up on the 2010 (15UB) Villarreal Force Academy Yellow squad was officially signed by Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Charlotte Football Club (Charlotte FC).

Teagan has played for the Fayetteville Soccer Club / Villarreal Force Academy since the age of four (4) when he started in the club’s Future Force Program. Always competing on teams above his age group, Teagan has been selected to the 2011 NC ODP 1st Team, been selected to the Villarreal CF North American Select Camp, and also been selected to travel to Spain for a Player Training Week at Villarreal CF’s training academy home in Villarreal, Spain this past fall.

After being selected last August (2024) to participate in the Charlotte FC Discoveries Program, Teagan has played with Villarreal Force Academy and traveled to Charlotte for a little over 8 months to compete and train with CFC on top of his VFA duties. He will now finish out his spring continuing with VFA and CFC before becoming full-time with CFC in August of 2025.

Teagan follows in the footsteps of former Villarreal Force Academy player, Ivan Villalobos, who is currently excelling at the New England Revolution, where he has already made an appearance with Revs 2 as a 15 year old. Making Teagan the second VFA player to be signed by an official MLS Academy in as many years.

Congratulations to Teagan and his family, and we are extremely proud and excited to be able to provide the pathway of success that helped him reach his current goals of playing at the highest level offered in the United States.
